Programs
Recover Australia believes that each person has individual and different needs, therefore we have developed programs for different groups within the community.
Teen Talk
This Program is aimed at young adults 13 - 19 who are experiencing difficulties with maintaining a positive mental health. We have specilised clinicians who have experience working within adolescent mental health and the MHNIP allows flexibility in how the therapeutic interventions are administered. Outreach is available for those isolated by their illness to promote reintegration into the community.
The Lighthouse Project
The Lighthouse Project is aimed at perinatal mental health and allows women and their families, during a pregnancy or after a pregnancy to access Mental health nurses specifically trained and with extensive expereince in ante and postnatal depression and non-directive pregnancy counselling skills. The outreach service allows women to be seen in their own home to improve better outcomes.
Older Adult Mental Health
Mental illness within this age group is often undiagnosed and untreated. The mental health nurse incentive program works within the primary health setting which is predominantly the services that this age group would come in contact with. This is an opportunity for this population to be treated in the community and have support accessing additional services when required.
Families Talking Together
This program is aimed at looking at a family and treating them as unit. The mental health nurses you access have additional qualifications in family therapy and have experience working with families in a variety of settings. Mental illness rarely effects the identified patient only and therefore family work is often very helpful in improving relationships and understanding.
